While I have been drawing and painting for fifty years, my education and employment were in other disciplines. In the 1980s I was a founding member of an artist’s cooperative that obtained space in an unused public school in Georgetown, DC, where I had as studio until 1988. That building also housed a gallery were I exhibited drawings and paintings. Some members of that cooperative were organizers of the periodic art/performance event Artomatic, where I exhibited in 2002, 2004, 2007, 2009, 2016, and 2017. I have also had work in juried group shows. Now that I am retired, producing artwork is one of my major activities.
